The CA-IS373x is a high-performance three-channel digital isolator with precise timing characteristics and low power consumption. When isolating CMOS digital I/O, the CA-IS373x device provides high electromagnetic interference immunity and low radiation. All device versions feature Schmitt trigger inputs for high noise immunity. The logic input and output buffers for each isolation channel are isolated by silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation gates. The CA-IS3730 has three channels in the same direction, with the output side (B side) featuring output enablement, while the CA-IS3731 has two forward and one reverse channel, with output enablement on both sides. All devices have a fault-safe mode option. If the input side power is lost or the signal is lost, for devices with the suffix L, the default output is low, and for devices with the suffix H, the default output is high.
The CA-IS373x device has high insulation capability, helping to prevent noise and surges on the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground terminal, thereby interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. The high CMTI capability is expected to ensure the correct transmission of digital signals. The CA-IS373x devices are available in 16-pin narrow-body SOIC, 16-pin narrow-body SSOP, and 16-pin wide-body SOIC packages. All products have an isolation rating of 3.75 kVrms, and products with wide-body packages support insulation withstand voltages of up to 5 kVrms.
